Dear Hiring Manager,
I’m writing to express my interest in the Podcast Social Media Producer role at Vox Media. I’m a Brooklyn-based producer and production coordinator with 7+ years across live events, branded content, and digital campaigns, where I’ve specialized in turning long-form stories into short-form, social-first pieces that drive engagement and clicks.
For clients including Dentsu, Microsoft, AT&T, Google, Ally Bank, and Ulta, I’ve owned the process of creating social-ready content end to end: identifying the strongest moments in longer videos or conversations, cutting them into 15-second to 3-minute clips, and layering on motion graphics, captions, and still assets tailored to each platform. I work primarily in Adobe Creative Suite for video, and light motion graphics, always thinking simultaneously about hooks, pacing, thumbnails, and caption copy to stop the scroll and move people to listen or subscribe.
I’m used to collaborating closely with producers, on-air talent, and marketing teams to develop a distinct voice and look for each project — the equivalent of tailoring creative to different shows on a slate. For some campaigns, that’s meant playful, fast-cut edits and meme-adjacent treatments for Instagram Reels and TikTok; for others, more context-forward, insight-driven clips for LinkedIn and YouTube Shorts. I regularly juggle multiple projects at once, maintain organized libraries and templates to speed up production, and adjust our output based on performance data. Tracking views, retention, engagement, saves, and click-throughs is baked into how I work, and I actively test different opens, CTAs, and formats, then apply those learnings to future content.
My background also includes hands-on experience in production workflows across audio, video, and live events, which helps me communicate efficiently with technical teams and respect the realities of podcast schedules and assets. I’m drawn to Vox Media because of its editorial rigor, its range of shows, and its commitment to inclusive, values-driven storytelling. The idea of helping a diverse slate of podcasts reach new audiences and deepen listener relationships across platforms is genuinely exciting to me.
